VERDICT: KINDA RECOMMENDED (not for everyone)

Man, this one was weird or let me rephase I still don’t know what anime I saw yesterday (pun intended). Most of time it was interesting… there were times when I hated the storytelling so much. But overall it was fun and I’m kinda missing it after watching the whole thing. Oh, and the opening (no video) and ending is also great. Gaugau~

Brainstorm – Animeverzió

AnimeHungarianRantRecommendation 4 comments - Seya.Raysen

Why I don’t need a Coffee Lake CPU

EnglishHardwareRant No comments - Kagamin

Let me state this… I think the author of this video is right. But I have many problems with the means in order to reach the maximum performance. And why the heck Intel uses sh*tty thermal paste between the IHS and the die for an overclockable CPU? But I digress…

In order to get your overclockable Coffee Lake CPU to perform much better than Ryzen, you have to:

  • buy a delid tool
  • delid your CPU
  • risk to rekt your CPU
  • void your warranty
  • buy liquid metal thermal compound
  • apply the compound and reseal the CPU
  • buy or have a beefy cooler (like a Cryorig R1 or Noctua NH-D14/15)
  • have a high-end motherboard

Well, that’s quite a bit demand (read: unreasonable) for a performance boost.

A PC enthusiast honest opinion about mining

EnglishHardwareRant 2 comments - Kagamin

DISCLAIMER: I consider myself a PC enthusiast so my opinion about mining is one-sided. And yes, I’m angry.

I wanted to build a new rig… WANTED. As GPU prices hit new records I’m no longer able to buy a new PC. And the sole reason is? MINERS.

Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB pricing chart, source: https://pcpartpicker.com/trends/price/video-card/

Reason of the price jump

I don’t really understand people caring and spending so much about… well, what… mathematical formulas? And worst part is they are not currencies anymore because they are investments. The number of altcoins slowly but steadily will reach the number of the stars on the night sky. This situation is a complete joke except nobody laughing.

That’s where your GPUs went...
